CENTRAL PARK
The largest kiosk in the country, located on Second Avenue to contemplate various artistic and musical activities in San José
Located between Second Street and Second Avenue, it is the heart of San José. Costa Rica's largest bandstand, a gift from Nicaragua, marks its nerve center and is one of the best-known meeting points for Costa Ricans. Here, you can often enjoy a variety of artistic and musical activities in the shade of the few trees that line the square. To the east is the Catedral Metropolitana, visited by John Paul II in the early 1980s, and to the north is the Teatro Melico Salazar, one of the country's most important.
