SABANA PARK
Large, pleasant park with tennis courts, various basketball courts, volleyball courts, baseball fields, a pond and a swimming pool.
In the west of San José, this large and pleasant park occupies the land of the old international airport of Costa Rica. It is the largest park in the capital. It has tennis courts, various basketball, volleyball and baseball fields, as well as a pond and a swimming pool. It is one of the places where Ticos relax (up to 5,000 visitors on weekends!), jog or play soccer between the eucalyptus trees. To get there from downtown, it's best to take a cab, as it's quite far on foot.
