A comfortable lodge offering beautiful cabins perched at a height of nearly 20 m, with good value for money

A place not to be missed even if it is difficult to spot coming from Guápiles! Some Dutch people have built a lodge there with all the comforts and impeccably maintained. Beautiful huts are perched at nearly 20 meters high and allow you to see some 300 species of birds. In the evening, a unique dinner menu is offered with meat or vegetarian. Good value for money. Hiking in the park and swimming in the waterfall are possible. The proximity to the Braulio Carillo National Park, Tortuguero, and the Pacuare River make this a good base.

A wonderful space with a wonderful host. Comfortable cabins with a beautiful view of an amazing forest and river. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Stayed here for 3 nights while around the area. Herbie is such a great chap; so laid back and knowledgeable! A very peaceful place to stay. Loved the wooden cabin we stayed in with a very comfortable bed. Herbie also stored our bags for us while we went off rafting - highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very peaceful. The sound from the river helped us get a good night’s rest. The host was very friendly and interesting to talk to. He fixed us a very delicious breakfast with eggs and fresh fruit. If I ever come back to Costa Rica I would love to stay here again.
