COFFEE AROMA
Coffee museum presenting the origins of the plant, the history of its diffusion throughout the world, the producing countries
Located at an altitude of 1,375 metres, Finca is a 17.5 hectare property, of which 14 hectares are used for coffee production; an Arabica coffee of "gourmet" quality, thanks to its excellent exposure on the slopes of the Poas and Barva volcanoes. In 2018, the site opened to tourism with the creation of a museum dedicated entirely to coffee, the first in Costa Rica. The museum, designed in Spanish, French and English, will tell you more about the origins of the plant, the history of its diffusion throughout the world, the producing and consuming countries, etc. Posters and antique objects decorate the premises. Of course, you can enjoy the coffee, presented by a barista, inside or on a terrace overlooking the plantations. The shop offers a wide selection of souvenirs and of course the Finca coffee. The project is led by Didier Raffin, photographer and frequent traveller, founder of the Imagenes Tropicales agency, and Carole Zbinden, owner of Finca.
