In March 2021 we were blessed to acquire the Torre Alta Lodge mountain property. Where we set out to upgrade the property in all regards. Improving our main entrance road, adding our own assortment of tours and cooking session options for guests, chickens for fresh eggs, cows for fresh milk and cheese and buying our 4x4 Kawasaki Mule as part of revamping and rebranding this beautiful destination to: "The Lodge @ Reventazon River Mountain Ranch."
Located high above the small communities of San Rafael and Jabillos and overlooking the city of Turrialba in Cartago Province. We enjoy spectacular views of the Turrialba Volcano from our Outlook Deck, Common Areas, and the Toucan & Sloth Cabins. Accessible by "SUV-class" 4x4 vehicles or by our shuttle service up and down the mountain - with a one-time FREE roundtrip ride in our 6-seat Kawasaki Mule and extra rides for additional fees for those without 4x4 vehicles.
The ranch has 3-Cabins and many Camping Tent options. Cabins come with queen bed, grand mountain views, telescopes cozy kitchenettes with open-air outdoor decks. Each cabin coming with rain or fresh spring water at delightfully pleasant locations. Camping options include single tents for two, up to larger tents for 4- to 6-people.
Onsite tours include Horseback Rides, Nature Hiking Trails, Lagoon Fishing, Birding, Night Tours & customized tours at your request. We are happy to host our own RRMR tours or help you set up other regional tours like white water rafting down the beautiful Pacuare River, Canyoneering, Zip-lining, Mountain Biking, Coffee/Cocoa tours located conveniently nearby!
