Association with a rather safe value offering a canoe tour on the rivers with many certified guides of the village.
A dozen or so certified guides (some of the oldest in the village, in fact) have joined forces to form an association. Canoe tours (small boats for 6 people), kayak tours, night tours, walking tours of the park and Cerro Tortuguero, not forgetting the unmissable turtle tours... the association offers you the chance to discover Tortuguero's main attractions. Prices are fixed, and certified guides hold official cards. Be aware, however, that some very good guides work freelance or for hotels, and are not affiliated to the association.
