A guided tour to discover the secrets behind the making of the famous cheese and the mysterious life of troglodyte dwellings

The troglodytic dwellings of Les Farges date from the Middle Ages. They were rediscovered in the 1990s. Enter the heart of the caves dug more than 1,000 years ago and follow the guide to discover the secrets of making the famous cheese and learn more about the mysterious life of these dwellings. Continue on a gourmet note by tasting the famous Saint-Nectaire cheese. Finally, share the secret of Abbé Dubois and his brother Donat at the time of the French Revolution, then discover the Viginet treasure. The visit lasts about 1 hour.

The site is very nice and surprising. The very informative visit and the guide was very good. We discover a way of life that is difficult to conceive of from our present lives. Cheese refining, also in the troglodyte site, is amazing (and the delicious saint-nectary!)
