VULCANIA
The only park in Europe dedicated to volcanoes, Vulcania offers many activities and shows for all ages in Saint-Ours.
Vulcania is unique in Europe: it's the only park dedicated to the theme of volcanoes and planet Earth, and has been for over 20 years! Numerous activities, tours and shows allow visitors to experience an exploration that combines emotions and discoveries, right in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes. Visitors can explore three different thematic universes: volcanoes, natural phenomena and the Earth in space. Every season, the Vulcania park offers new attractions in addition to the existing ones (Le Réveil des géants d'Auvergne, Abyss Explorer, Dragon Ride...). In 2021, Namazu, a unique family roller coaster on the theme of earthquakes, joined the park. The attraction invites visitors to discover the scientific base of the Namazu team, who have set up their laboratory on an unstably active seismic fault. Watch out, it's going to shake! Namazu won the Parksmania awards for Best New European Attraction. Since 2023, Vulcania has boasted France's largest planetarium, with an immersive dome 22 m in diameter, for exceptional projection quality. Six new activities for the whole family complete the exploration of the park, some of them in the presence of one of the park's scientific animators. The youngest visitors are also very welcome. Some areas are accessible to children aged 3 and over, such as the Pitoufeu House and Gallery, and the Cité des Enfants, a real place of experimentation for little scientists. Outdoor play areas provide plenty of fun too. The Experimental Corner, with its playful workshops, is also a great place for the whole family to discover. Through interactive activities, visitors discover the phenomena associated with volcanism and the Earth's natural phenomena. At Vulcania, learning goes hand in hand with fun! Alone, with friends or with family, visitors stroll through the Forest of Dragons. Creatures from all over the world, each different from the next, await and often surprise them. In summer, the park is set ablaze at night during exceptional evenings, culminating in a magnificent fireworks display. On its Séjours website, Vulcania offers packages including admission to the park, accommodation and possibly other activities (Panoramique des Dômes, Michelin Adventure...). There are also special offers such as a second night at 50% off or a third night free. A great way to spend quality time with the family, and save money at the same time!
