Sehr schöne Anlage, war leider nur für eine Nacht hier. Zimmer groß und hell mit Klimaanlage und Ventilator. Ruhige Lager. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

What a great experience! The staff was amazing! The grounds were beautiful! The room was older but well maintained… Everyone was so polite, friendly and accommodating! Especially the restaurant staff! Highly recommend!! Thank you soo much!!

We had room 303, with a kitchen.. the room is located behind the restaurant, and beside the parking.. the whole evening loud noise of personel cleaning stuff and working, curtains always had to be closed because we had no privacy at all.. Room was clean, but everything is old, very old. Wifi intermittent disconnected, which you did not always noticed.. There goes your precious Claro data plan.. At the pool most seats where dirty and worn. ( see picture) I don't understand why the owners do not systematically replace old stuff..
Restaurant was good. Breakfast also ok.

All in all we wanted to leave as quickly as possible..

Nachdem wir die schlechte Straße durchgekommen sind ist bereits beim einchecken etwas schief lief, mussten wir im Zimmer eine Schabe/ großen Käfer, eine Ameise und noch einen kleinen Käfer überwältigen und wegräumen.
Meine „neue“ Zudecke, war sehr faltig, ich hoffe es hatte hier nicht schon vorher einer drin geschlafen?

Bisher meine schlechteste Erfahrung in CR.

we used 8 hotels in during our holiday across Costa Rica, they were all excellent and better than advertised except Villa Rio Mar in Dominical. The management of this hotel do not care about customers. I was given a Villa room at Villas Rio Mar which was very substandard for a two star hotel (it is definitely not a 3*). I complained and got a budget room instead as this was all they had. No compensation for the difference was provided although both my tour operator and I asked. On another review, the hotel claimed they explained the situation, but did nothing of the sort. They will respond to a review in minutes but not deal with a real issue in days. The hotel rooms I saw all need a refresh! The wifi does not work in the room and many basic facilities are missing. Some of the the UK people there were with Titan holidays and they also found the people at reception difficult and limited with the truth.

Mon 2ème sejour dans ce merveilleux lodge et toujours aussi ravi d’avoir choisi cet endroi incroyable. Le jardin tropical, la piscine, les chambres et surtout un petit déjeuner incroyable !! Je recommande a 100%

Très bel endroit mais beaucoup de monde assez impersonnel et buffet petit-déjeuner pas top ex. Plus de sirop d érable alors qu il y a des pancakes faut attendre pour avoir du café qu il n y a plus attendre pour avoir du pain etc...

HVRM is right on the Rio Barú and a short drive or walk into Dominical, a very laid back beach community (as opposed to Jaco which is bustling).
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are secluded and tucked into natural setting, but just a little dated - very comfortable and good AC though!
Pool and grounds are beautiful.
Crocodile Grill had first-class food and service; Carlos was fun, knowledgeable, and on point all evening.

Magnifique piscine pour cet hôtel un peu en retrait de la plage de Dominical. Bungalow spacieux dans un beau jardin tropical. Endroit parfait pour rayonner dans les environs, à 5min du parc de l'Hacienda Baru.
