Across from Palo Verde Park, this exceptional lodge is the epicenter of one of the world's 5 Blue Zones - areas known for the longevity of the inhabitants. Rooms offer spectacular views from the terrace. The 1,000 ha finca (which also houses a farm with cows and horses) forms an important biological corridor as it includes 3 ecosystems: dry forest, mangrove and wetlands. The lodge offers activities that allow a perfect immersion in this spectacular environment. The restaurant's cuisine is also exceptional!

Au milieu de rien, ambiance particulière. Une nuit et ce fut suffisant. Chambre correcte mais sans plus. Petit déjeuner classique. Dîner bon mais cher. Excursion hors de prix. Mauvais rapport qualité prix.

This was one of the strangest places I’ve ever stayed. We booked for 3 nights and left after 2, and the only other guests who were there (spooky) were doing the same. We arrived at the weekend when the whole place was really understaffed and the really friendly young person who was left in charge was nice but had no clue how to run a hotel. Mealtimes were WEIRD. It all felt a bit like Twin Peaks relocated to an old fashioned Western movie. However, the landscape is stunning. Don’t pay the extortionate prices for the organised tours, just head out yourself on the many trails, they don’t seem to mind. And if you’re planning to visit Palo Verde, it’s a 2 hour drive to the park entrance, even though it’s right there, just over the river.
