Sehr schöne Unterkunft wir hatten das Chalet für fünf Nächte gebucht. In der Nacht gibt es Tiere die vorbeikommen nicht erschrecken ;) konnte einige mit meiner wildtierkamera Fotografieren. Esswaren sollte man immer gut verstauen sonst holen sie die nächtlichen besucher (Tiere) Die schöne Gartenanlage und der Pool laden dazu ein, auch einen Tag hier zu verbringen. Der Strand, Restaurant und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in wenigen Fahrminuten erreichbar. Das Restaurant Las Olas Brewing Playa Grande macht die besten Pizzas. Weiter unten kann man auch im Pots & Bowls gut essen. Beim kleinen Markt Fruit & Vegetable Frutas y Verduras gibt es frisches Gemüse und Früchte zu kaufen. Parkieren am Strand kannst du hier: Playa Grande Villas. Hier hat es schattenspendende Palmen.

Perfect spot for the adventurous couple or small family. My husband and I stayed here for an entire week in one of the glamping cabins. We woke up every morning to a family of howler monkeys right ubove us in the trees. The outdoor shower was invigorating and well appreciated on those hot days in January. We were surrounded by a beautiful garden and a gorgeous pool just down the walking trail from our cabin. The beach is just a short drive from the Airbnb. The service was phenomenal. Pura Vida!

Flor y Bambu was the unexpected highlight of our trip. I am usually averse to sleeping in the heat, but was very intent on experiencing unique stays in Costa Rica. This fit the bill and the heat was not an issue. The cross breeze in the sleeping part of the casita, as well as the large ceiling fans cooled the space terrifically! We could also cool down with a dip in the small pool or in the lovely outdoor shower. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and we were thrilled to see and hear the howler monkeys on 3 of our 4 days there. Sophie and crew are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be recommending Flor y Bambu and the Playa Grande area to our friends.

What a unique experience that exceeded our expectations! This little oasis has several glamping units tucked into beautifully crafted landscaping to create a private experience for each group. The compound has a small pool, fire pit area, and common kitchen area. There is wildlife all around, including monkeys in the nearby trees. The bed was comfortable and the outdoor shower very enjoyable on hot days. Would highly recommend a couple of nights here for something different during your stay in Costa Rica!

Very nice place with worderful garden. There are some howling monkeys. friendly staff, delicious food. great to enjoy jungle feeling. unfortunally a lot of ants in the bed.

Petites cabanas parfaites pour les couples recherchant la tranquillité au cœur de la nature. Il ne faut pas rechercher du luxe, c'est du Glamping, avec les insectes et animaux qui viennent avec. Le réveil matinal au levée du soleil avec les cris des singes hurleurs et les sons de la nature, c'est vraiment dépaysant! Le petit-déjeuner peut être pris sur place, nous avons adoré le yogourt avec granolas et fruits, servi avec fruits frais, café, rôties et confitures maison (assiette pour 10$us).
Il faut absolument avoir une voiture. Tout est loin, la route pour marcher n'est pas super et il fait noir tôt.
Prévoyez aussi de l'argent comptant (us ou colones) avant d'arriver car il n'y a pas de guichet à Playa Grande et certains endroits ne prennent que l'argent comptant.

Stayed three nights in tent #4, which was very secure. Excellent location within the compound. Adrian provided outstanding hospitality and was very welcoming. It was an experience we'll never forget. Highly recommend staying @ Flor y Bambu.

Une nuit passée en tente mi janvier 2023.
En à peine 6 ans, Sophie et son mari ont su créer un cadre cosy et plein de charme. Mention spéciale pour la douche au milieu des plantes exotiques :))
A noter également le meilleur petit déjeuner de tout notre séjour au Costa Rica !
Last but not least, la gentillesse et
bienveillance de Sophie, qui n'a pas hésité a nous communiquer ses coordonnées personnelles afin de me sécuriser sur des démarches relatives à ma fille sur San José.

The place is interesting, it's like living in the jungle, open air and all, grass roof, partially open side walls, shower outside in the open air with plants in the shower.

Cons: It's very expensive for the level of accommodation, the place could use some maintenance, there was no key to lock the front door, the mosquitos were swarming inside the unit, breakfast was not included and $12- way too expensive.

Pros: Very romantic, very nice swimming pool and surrounding environment.

My wife and I had a lovely stay in one of the Casitas. It was very nice, and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the pool lovely, and the breakfast delicious. The owner was very gracious and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

Flor y Bambu is a beautiful place, with a huge tropical garden area. There is a secure car parking and also you can store your valuables in a safe. We stayed in one of the tents which were very very clean and beautifully arranged. Every cabin/tent had a outdoor terrasse with golden lights and confortable seating. There is a clean kitchen which everyone can use plus there is a coffee station where you can get coffee at any time. Every night one of the housekeepers made a bonfire. The fireplace is surrounded by succulents and it’s a very beautiful and peacefull area to hang out. The pool was well taken care of and its located in the middle of all these tropical plants. Sophie, is a very kind and helpfull host and very easy to talk to. We will definititely come back!

Vinimos por nuestra luna de miel, realmente es vivir la pura vida de una manera maravillosa!
El estilo del lugar es muy libre y despojado con plantas por todos lados y nos tocó la cabaña 8 que era muy hermosa! Bañarse en esa ducha calentita al aire libre fue de las experiencias más bellas. Todo funciona muy bien y es cómodo! El desayuno de marie fue riquísimo, lo recomiendo. Y mi marido pidió que me regalaran un ramo, fue el más lindo que vi en mi vida xq era de plantas tropicales que cortaron del mismo lugar..
Hay monos en dos árboles que es muy atractivo de ver, no molestan ni se meten con la gente.
Sofi la dueña y Adrián el encargado fueron muy amables con nosotros. VAMOS A EXTRAÑAR ESTE GRAN LUGAR! ESPERAMOS VOLVER!
