BIRD BANDING (MADÁRGYŰRŰZÉS)

Szabi and her family are very welcoming, they take care of their ecological farm (various animals, chickens, geese, grey oxen and cows). They ring the birds because this exotic place is located directly on the edge of the reeds of the Balaton. Especially in the morning, you can follow Szabi and see him in action picking up rare or more common birds for banding. He shows them up close and explains everything! He also makes his canoes available: by rowing for an hour, you reach the estuary of the Zala River. From here you can see the Balaton in length. In the early morning, the sun rises just behind the Tihany peninsula. A must see place.

Here, you can sleep in a tent (maximum 30 people).

The ruins of the Roman camp Valrum Castrum are about a hundred metres away.
