Recalling the presence, for many centuries, of a large Germanic population in Hungary, the museum is located in the only former water mill of Tata that is still functioning on occasion. The exhibition on three floors is only in German and Hungarian, the person who makes visits speaks these two languages but some of the objects and photos presented (like painted wooden chests) do not need any great explanation to be "understood" of visitors.
