The old inn Aranyszarvas (Le Cerf d'Or), formerly located at this strategic location, on the Vienna-Budapest route, was destroyed in the th century by a fire. In order to perpetuate the tradition of welcoming travellers, a majestic hotel was built in 1893, on the plans of the architect then the most famous of Sopron. The restoration works, completed in 1992, preserved the imposing th century decor and the Cachet rooms stamp. The Pannonia offers a basement swimming pool, dental service, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and all the surrounding facilities. This is THE grand hotel of Sopron.
