STORNO HOUSE (STORNO HÁZ)
The most beautiful corner of the square has existed since the 1417 th century (). In winter 1482-1483 King Mátyás stayed there during his Military Campaign in Austria. Franz Liszt lived there twice. Of Gothic origin, it was rebuilt in 1720 in a baroque style (with a late Renaissance facade). The intérieure courtyard accentuates its harmonious character. Ferenc Storno bought the house in 1875. The Storno were known to be passionate art collectors. Their private collection, consisting of three generations, is exposed on the second floor of the house, the first being occupied by the Historical Museum of the City (and surrounding area) of Sopron.
