The bishop's palace, in the castle's enclosure, has been restored and converted into a historical museum. Objects from the fortress excavations are exposed as well as historical documents concerning the city of Eger. See also: the heroes room, the torture instruments and the tomb of the writer Géza Gárdonyi. The place before the beautiful arcades of the episcopal palace serves, in summer, theatre theatre in the open for performances of folk dances and other tourist shows.
