Located in the town of Saint-Sauves-d'Auvergne, the Gîte de la Poucinière is ideal accommodation for groups of 12 to 14 people. Housed in a restored farmhouse, the gîte offers spacious accommodation with three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and toilet. The large living room features a fireplace and pellet stove, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere. Outside, guests can enjoy a large outdoor area, private parking and children's play equipment. In addition to accommodation, owners Claudine and Pierre LASSALAS also offer a wool-processing activity on the farm. Visitors can discover the various stages from raw fleece to finished yarn at the Atelier Laine, an on-site boutique. The gîte enjoys a privileged location, close to La Bourboule and Le Mont Dore, at the foot of the Banne d'Ordanche, between the Massif du Sancy and the Chaîne des Puys. Visitors can enjoy magnificent scenery, with volcanoes, glacial valleys, desert plateaus, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. The region also has a wealth of castles, Romanesque churches, spa towns and museums to visit. Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to do, with numerous marked trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The gîte can be rented for a minimum of two nights, and pets are not allowed.
