TISZA HOTEL ÉS GYÓGYFÜRDŐ

A-room spa hotel with Turkish baths. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. In 1925, the municipality of Szolnok decided to create, with great money and energy, a base for tourism and the development of the city. The coronation of the project was the Tisza Hotel and its thermal baths opened in 1928 on the banks of the Tisza. Located in a garden inspired by those of Versailles, the hotel (qualified from "small architectural box") and its baths are decorated with néobaroques stucco, frescoes and sculptures. The water comes from a 900 m depth well located next to the hotel.

The magnificent restaurant offers the famous fish soup of the Tisza, among many other traditional dishes. The hotel's curative baths remind the Turkish baths: under the cupola there are two hot water basins, a cold water pool, a dry sauna and a steam sauna. In addition to its medical services, the Tisza includes a dental office.
