HORTOBÁGYI CSÁRDA
Located opposite the pastoral museum on the other side of Highway 33, this th-century hostel is a former postal relay. Renovated and expanded, it is a large, low-bleached, lime-roofed low building. It is set on the edge of the small road, in the shadow of a row of old trees planted before the arcades of its facade. A long time ago, there were many hostels along the cattle routes, but the great Csárda of Hortobágy was distinguishable from the lot from the 1848 war of Independence, when stories of thieves and popular songs entered the legend. In this paprikáshús, we used the berger way, with wine at will whose best came from Hegyalja. The piquette of the vineyards of Létavértes was served to the one who had no money and who had to stay on the seat near the door.
This csárda still serves as a restaurant and now houses an interactive exhibition dedicated to its history, as well as traffic in the Puszta.
In the national park, there are also two other csárdas times: the Csárda Kadarcsi and the 200 year old Meggyes Csárda. The latter is a real historic monument to the National-Pusztakocsi Wetlands National Park. It has a small museum (the Bifurcation for Egyek is opposite the Csárda Csárda).
