DAR EL HADDAD
Located west of the government palace, near Bab Menara, in the Beni Khorassen district and dating from the 16th century, this sumptuous residence is one of the oldest in the medina. Since the eighteenth century, it bears the name of its owners of Spanish origin and enriched in the fez trade. This palace is now classified as a historical monument. The courtyard is surrounded by porticoes with columns and hafsid capitals and, on one side, niches with benches. A gallery runs from one corner to the other, with a wooden balustrade.
