Located in the medina, close to the Grand Mosque, it is the oldest. Established on the site of a former caravanserai where wine was sold, it stands out for the finesse of its Ottoman-inspired columns and arches. Built in 1714, the Ennakhla (or Palm) medersa owes its name to the tree that stood in the middle of the courtyard, a garden that can still be seen today. Not easily accessible to tourists, the medersa is in operation and closes during Ramadan.
