The Roman amphitheater of Carthage should not be confused with the Roman theater: you might be surprised if you show up here during the international festival of Carthage! Built outside the city in the first century A.D., all that remains today is an oval-shaped arena, 65 meters long and 37 meters wide, with accesses at both ends through which the wild beasts arrived. It is more interesting to visit this site with a guide who will be able to bring the ruins to life for you!
