Located on the seafront, south of Antonin's famous thermal baths, the Magon district was the last to escape urbanization. Excavations have uncovered the only visible part of Carthage's ramparts, dating from the late 6th or early5th century BC, with its foundation blocks, one of which weighs over 13 tonnes! The excavators were able to determine the existence of organized urban planning at the time, with streets 3 metres wide and a thoroughfare 9 metres wide! Hard to imagine today.

Petit site mais très intéressant avec maquettes et cartes. On voit bien les délimitations des maisons.
