LES TAPIS DE KROUMIRIE

This cooperative was created in 1980 by two doctors to promote traditional Kroumirie carpets. Since then, some sixty women have been working for Kroumirie Carpets. The quality produced here is renowned throughout the region, and with good reason: the women perpetuate a traditional craftsmanship handed down from mother to daughter. From shearing the sheep to dyeing the wool, everything is natural and handcrafted. The showroom also features other local handicrafts: pottery, bags, decorative objects and, of course, numerous handmade rugs.
