HABIB BOURGUIBA MUSEUM
Opened in April 2013, on the 13th anniversary of his death and in the post-revolutionary excitement, the Habib Bourguiba Museum pays tribute to the first president of the Tunisian Republic. In this marble palace, summer residence of the leader, we find personal effects, photographs, recorded speeches, a bronze equestrian statue, and even his Mercedes. This museum has the will to assert the innovative aspect of power centered around the hegemonic figure of Bourguiba while showing an attachment to his hometown. Successful effect!
