Carved in the limestone rock of the peninsula, this port forms a rectangle of 8,250 m². It is on the vestiges of a Punic basin that the Fatimides arranged this port of 66 meters on 42 meters which could contain until 30 ships. This port was surrounded by an enclosure open to the sea. Today it is very well preserved and the traditional boats have made it their home port. The imposing mass of Borj el Kebir, the Ottoman fortress, dominates this ancient Fatimid port. The place is conducive to reverie.
