The museum is located on the site of Sullecthum, on the edge of a Punic cemetery. The visit opens on a mosaic reproducing a poem celebrating the benefits of bathing and the pleasures of life. We can then see an exceptional mosaic representing a lion, emblem of a rich shipowner of the city, 3 meters high! Most of the objects exposed in this museum come from the adjacent necropolis. Other objects come from the ancient port installations or from the Christian catacombs of the surroundings.

Little museum contains some rooms terracotta or amphoras and an impressive mosaic from its size, representing a lion. The environment is even more interesting because Salakta historic site of the country, have Roman ruins discovered, including the cemetery against the museum. The welcome is perfectly welcoming and the very correct entry fee. Visit to recommend!
