SFAX MEDINA
Access to the medina is via the 14th-century Bab Diwan gate, close to the Grand Mosque, built in the mid-9th century. At the entrance to the medina, you can buy all kinds of freshly baked bread. The great attraction of the Sfax medina is its souks to the north, in particular the souk el-Djedid, close to our flea markets, the souk Kemour, reserved for perfumes and spices, or the souk Rbaa, reserved for fabrics. The medina boasts 74 religious buildings. And here, there's no pressure to consume, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We recommend a stroll!
