One of the prettiest youth hostels in Tunisia. It's housed in an old caravanserai with a beautiful palm tree right in the middle of the courtyard. There's no curfew here, and Toufik and Makhlouf make you feel very welcome. On the negative side, the small size of the fondouk means that you can't escape the sun; on hot summer nights, the rooms are hard to breathe. Fortunately, the small lounge remains pleasant. Refurbishment work seems necessary, but had not yet been scheduled at the time of our visit.
