This museum is housed in the former church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, built in the early 20th century. It presents the history of Zarzis and the region's ancient sites through archaeological finds and everyday objects. The Carthaginian era is represented. A model of the Gigthis site reminds us of the importance of economic exchanges in Roman times. Also on display are tools used by Zarzissians in the activities that have marked their daily lives since Antiquity, namely olive-growing, fishing and trade.
