Dating from the 15th century and built on Byzantine ruins, the yellow-stone Kasbah de Gafsa is located behind the Palace of Justice. It was restored after being badly damaged during the Second World War by the explosion of a German ammunition depot. A delightful garden, fed by thermal springs, provides calm and serenity. It stands in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. In the center of the kasbah, the Roman swimming pool is in perfect condition, a pleasant place for a stroll!
