The Bled el-Hadhar (or Blad El Hadhar) mosque was built on Roman remains, which served as the basis for the construction of the minaret. It was enlarged in the 12th century, with the official date of construction set at 1193. Although smaller in size, it resembles the Okba mosque in Kairouan. Its courtyard is framed by 4 galleries. A median nave divides the prayer hall, running from the entrance to the mihrab. As with all mosques, discretion and politeness are expected!
