HÔTEL SIDI DRISS
Simple and authentic, like many houses in Matmata. Good location, traditional troglodyte layout and architecture. Very popular with tourists, as it was the setting for the Star Wars film, remnants of which still remain. In fact, the hotel served as Luke Skywalker's home! Unfortunately, the communal sanitary facilities (as well as the rooms) are not very well maintained: the management, overwhelmed by the influx of tourists visiting the filming locations, can't both bear the costs of mixing all these people and find the funds to renovate its hotel.
