LE VIEUX PONT MÉDIÉVAL
This old bridge evokes an ancient route leading from the Allier valley to the mountains.
Crossing the Couze Pavin, this old stone bridge was built in the late 15th century. With its three semicircular arches, this imposing bridge has retained its small oratory dedicated to Notre-Dame de Pitié. It is reminiscent of an ancient road leading from the Allier valley to the mountains. Take your time treading its wide cobblestones and let yourself be lulled by the flow of the river beneath your feet. The old Saurier bridge has been listed as a historic monument since 1997.
