Located 6 km from Tataouine, in the middle of the desert, with a splendid view of the mountains (don't miss the sunrise), the hotel, named after an ancient desert prince, has the strange charm of a derelict mansion, but you'll feel right at home. The rooms are rudimentary, but typical, with bathrooms that fall short of the expected 3-star comfort. Rather high prices for this category, but the charm is such that you can overlook the material details. Highlights: numerous desert excursions on foot or by camel.

The restaurant is almost unavoidable because the hotel is far from city. We had two menus for dinner: a buffet, very disappointing, cold and becomes exhausted very quickly. Another evening, we had a fixed menu served at table which was a little more correct but not top. Not a large staff, which does not have a very welcoming air elsewhere. Basically an extremely expensive hotel for done favour and the lack of felt efforts.
