Aegean is a Greek airline founded in 1999. In 2013, it bought the emblematic Olympic, and thus became the largest airline in the country. Aegean is a member of the Star Alliance and currently offers 31 domestic and 120 international flights to 44 countries, mainly to Europe. It serves Paris, Deauville, Metz, Strasbourg, Nantes, Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Marseille to Heraklion and Hania airports in Crete, among others. It also serves the Greek islands furthest from the Aegean Sea, including Kastellorizo.
