The Golf Club of Crete, located near Hersonissos in the hinterland, offers a beautiful 18-hole course. Every year in October, a competition is organized, attracting many visitors to Crete. Instructors are on hand for private lessons. The club also has a store and restaurant, and offers reduced rates in low season and for younger players. You'll need suitable golf shoes, of course: they're compulsory.
