If you decide to visit the Amira/Viannou War Memorial, (or the oldest Cretan tree in Viannos), this is a good address for a lunch or coffee break. If this tavern with more modern look than a Greek tavern can appear from the outside as a «tourist catch», you will be positively surprised. At 700 meters high, we eat very well and prices are correct. The quality local Cretan cuisine is served on a panoramic terrace with stunning views over the valley and the sea. The menu includes wonderful entries, various omelets, pasta, salads, day dishes, local roasted meat… Don't leave without having tasted the "house" in the oven or grilled… Let's also note the child menu, accompanied by a surprise gift as well as a large playground with a multitude of outdoor toys.
