In a small street parallel to the Paleologou, a pretty little garden under fig and lemon trees shelters this family tavern-ouzerie where you can eat for a reasonable price typical Cretan cuisine of excellent quality. An address that is especially appreciated by the locals even out of season. The secret is the ingredients that come from the owner's mountain farm. A real breath of fresh air, simple and unpretentious, but so authentic and sincere. The raki and olive oil also come from the same farm.

selon nous le meilleur restaurant crétois d'Agios Nikolaos! La moussaka et les gemista sont divins! C'est fin, pas cher, l'accueil très sympathique et la terrasse est à l'abris de l'agitation du "lac" ! Un incontournable!

Service
You can get there with your eyes closed: warm hospitality, friendly service, pleasant setting, mezes excellent at the foot prices and dishes with citrus fruit house. Each dish or almost is worth the detour. Taste the wine house, lamb with artichokes and mousse lemon.
The welcome of Nikos, the owner, is extremely warm; do not hesitate to leave the tourist restaurants port, in this very close street where you can enjoy a generous, authentic, often cheaper. You will be dining in the shade of a pergola where lemon trees are entremèlent, fig trees, vineyard... The lamb with slippers is worth the detour!
