Going up from the port on 28-Octovriou street, you will pass in front of El square. Venizélou square, also known as "Eleftherias square" (Freedom square). This beautiful square, a meeting point for locals, has in its centre a small garden and a war memorial. It is the geographical landmark of the town of Agios Nicolaos. It gathers around it all the activities, administrative as well as commercial and tourist, of the city while remaining relatively calm. The Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) Cathedral rises here.
