As soon as you enter the village of Krousta, you pass under an arch of mulberry trees before reaching the square. There, we discover the Xatheri, an unmissable tavern whose name, well deserved, means "excellent quality". The dishes are succulent according to the Cretan culinary tradition, prepared with local raw materials and quality. Among them, we recommend lasagna with fresh local cheese, goat stew, lamb stir-fry, pilaf, grilled lamb chops. Wine list. Home made ice cream. We will gladly return!

We ordered two mezzes with pita Bread and we're pleasantly surprised with the great service and the exquisit food . Definately worth your visit.

The drive to remote Kroustas is well worth it as you are greeted with one of the more charming and beautiful small towns in the region. This restaurant is centrally located in the town and has incredible food. The wait staff were all extremely friendly, going so far as to play with my toddler and his toys. The desert menu featured home cooked items made by locals who were sitting next to the restaurant. Truly a special experience!

Πολύ ωραία ατμόσφαιρα με πολύ εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό.Το μοναδικό (-) η σαλάτα ενώ στον κατάλογο φαινόταν αρκετά πλούσια,τα υλικά μέσα(εκτός το μαρούλι) δεν ήταν τόσα πολλα.Κατα τα άλλα τα κυρίως πιάτα αρκετά γευστικά και καλοψημενα.Tip:το γλυκάκι στο τέλος!
