A mandatory stop during a visit to Agios Georgios.
This is a mandatory stop at all tour operators! It is a small concentrate of Crete: church, craftsmen, small zoo, souvenir shops, restaurants. On a guided tour, the curious can be introduced to Cretan cuisine: observation of the process of making candied fruit zests, honey, wine or raki, as well as the process of drying aromatic plants. They can also learn how to make pottery and how to use the spittoon. Everything is very artificial here: if you want authenticity, go ahead.
