FOLK MUSEUM
Authentic objects of the daily life of the past and Cretan folk art in a museum in Palekastro.
The folklore museum consists of a beautiful traditional Cretan house restored in 1989 and refurbished as it was during the Ottoman occupation. The way of life, traced in this museum through the exhibits, was definitively abandoned in the 1960s with the rural exodus and the opening to tourism. In the bedroom, living room or kitchen, you will be able to observe authentic objects of the daily life of the past as well as furniture, tapestries and some pieces of Cretan folk art. A visit that is worth the detour.
