Walk in the heart of the remarkable archaeological site of Ziros.
Only two acropolises, fortifications and the ruins of a house from the 3rd century B.C. remain on the site. Various terracotta objects have been found here, including tablets reminiscent of those in Linear A. Pressós was probably founded by the Eteocretans (a pre-Hellenic indigenous people) around 1400 B.C. It was finally razed by its rival Ierapytina (now Ierapetra) in the middle of the 2nd century B.C. Βalade worth a visit.
