An address with beautiful beaches, an archaeological site and a Minoan farm.

The beautiful beaches of Myrtos, with clear waters and grey sand, have attracted fans from all over the world. There are several beautiful beaches along the coastal path that goes to Tertsa, 6 kilometres away, where there is also a superb beach and something to eat and drink. Those interested in archaeology will have the opportunity to see the archaeological site at Fournos Korifi (3.5 km to the east), a Minoan farm at Pyrgos (west of Myrtos) and the ruins of the Roman thermal baths with beautiful mosaic floors at Agios Antonios (west).

Très beau site

Avons visité Myrtos par hasard en partant de Matala pour Agios Nikolaos et avons regretté de ne pas y avoir fait halte pour la journée et la nuit tant la petite rue piétonne en bord de plage est mignonne, avec tout un tas de petits cafés et restaurants.

Tout petit et très joli village typique en bord de mer, à 20km à l'ouest de Ierapetra. Le village est crétois de style mais on y parle abondement d'autres idiomes.
Une très belle situation, plage de galets et quelques petits restos en bord de mer.
Un bel endroit pour se baigner au calme et profiter d'un climat idéal en octobre, 24°C.

For quiet holidays, but near interesting excursions, Myrtos is one of my beaches in Crete, clear water. Typical little Greek village, you can hire a few deckchairs and parasols, few boats, kayaks etc... But also small restaurants on the seafront. For a stopover or peaceful holiday... Jaime.
