An address with ruins from the Minoan period in Myrtos.

This site is located on a hill before reaching Myrtos, about 2 km east of the village. It is a ruin from the Minoan period (about 2500 BC) consisting of a stone village with about 100 houses scattered on the hill. Here have been discovered various objects that are exhibited in the Museum of Agios Nikolaos: stone and copper tools, ceramic utensils, and above all a clay figurine, the "Goddess of Pirgos". A fire in 2200 BC inexplicably destroyed the village, which was never rebuilt.
