We experienced a truly amazing 1-week stay at Koutsounari Traditional Cottages! This place is ideal for travellers seeking an authentic Cretan summer experience. The house was spacious for a 4-member family, offering a breathtaking view of the Libyan Sea and with attention in every small detail. Interior design is blending traditional and contemporary features in a unique way. Ioanna, the host, welcomed us warmly and was very kind and helpful providing us with all the necessary information regarding the points of interests in the nearby area. We will definitely return to Koutsounari Traditional Cottages. Highly recommended!

Charming place to spend few days away from the crowd. Stylish restauration of traditional cottages, yet kept simple, and with all necessary comfort to feel welcome and well taken care of. We had cottage ‘Mikro’ with a fabulous view over the sea and olive trees. Kitchen small, albeit very well equipped. Korres toiletries in the bathroom (appreciated). Ioanna, the efficient and equally charming manager, gives soul to the place and share her recommendations of restaurants and things to see - she is a fine connoisseur of the region. ❤️ If you have few days to spare, stay there!

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo posto io e il mio compagno per 10 notti. Le camere sono esteticamente carine, ma da subito abbiamo avuto problemi.
1. Avevamo prenotato tramite un sito, volo e alloggi e il volo sarebbe atterrato la mattina presto, per arrivare alla struttura più o meno alle 8.
Ci accoglie una donna, (probabilmente la proprietaria), in modo molto maleducato, dicendo che la camera sarebbe stata pronta solo alle 15.00. Motivo? La struttura aveva sbagliato la data del nostro arrivo e, invece di trovare una soluzione, ci ha parlato in modo arrogante, come se fossimo noi in torto. Nessuna scusa.
2. La prima notte, il mio compagno si alza di soprassalto perché sentiva che qualcosa gli stesse camminando addosso. BLATTE! Abbiamo avuto a che fare con le blatte che giravano in casa, trovate anche morte in cucina.
3. Decidiamo di approfittare della terrazza per cenare a luce di candela. Non è stato possibile vista la quantità di gatti randagi presenti, (nella strada subito dietro alla struttura, infatti, pieno di secchioni della spazzatura sporchi e aperti, dove si servivano decine di gatti randagi)
4. La sera stessa della cena in terrazza, sentiamo camminare sulla tettoia, (abbiamo subito pensato a qualche gatto), ma quando abbiamo acceso le.luci, ci siamo accorti che un ratto gironzolave per il patio accanto a noi.
5. Privacy. Il patio della nostra stanza era percorso da altre persone.
6. Al ritorno ci siamo accorti che ci erano spariti dei capi d'abbigliamento...Riflettendo sul dove avessimo potuto perderli, ci siamo resi conto entrambi, che né in aereo, né durante la vacanza, li avessimo utilizzati. Quindi spariti dalla valigia stessa...?????
Considerati i prezzi, (attualmente rasentano quelli di una struttura di lusso), i servizi sono lontani da dall'aspettativa che crea questa struttura e più simili a un bed&breakfast lowcost.
