GORGES OF PEFKΟI
A great address for hiking enthusiasts in Makrigialos.
This hike can be circular passing through the villages of Agios Stephanos and Pefkοi (5 hours walk). The hike in the Pefkoi Gorge is through a forest of pine trees, plane trees and groves. On the west side of the gorge, an abundant water source offers the opportunity to refresh oneself and fill one's bottles with excellent quality water at the same time. At the exit of the gorge one comes across the village Pissokamino and, a little further down, Aspros Potamos where one meets Volakas tou Sarkinou (the Buckwheat Rock).
