The food out here is outstanding. My wife and I have visited two nights in a row and tomorrow will be our third. We ordered the lamb, braised beef, Greek salad, bread and grilled mushrooms with cheese. Everything we had was delicious including the suggested wines!

Now to where this place shines brightest! The staff! Wooooow! We had the pleasure of meeting Tonia and Ira and how wonderful they were. They showed great passion in their work, provided excellent service and recommendations and were so kind. They, and the delicious food of course, are the reason we will go back whenever we visit again and why we will recommend this place to all of our loved ones.

Please do yourself a favor and visit to experience just how beautiful and blissful this place is! Our FAVORITE in Crete!!

I have eaten here two times in 24 hours and both experiences were just amazing. The atmosphere, food, and service are excellent.
This is the perfect place to bring that special someone because of the romantic atmosphere that is here. The food is great and the customer service is exceptional. I came here twice on the weekend with no reservation and was promptly seated. I highly recommend the Ellotia.

Wunderschöner Innenhof mit angenehmer Musik. Der Service ist zauberhaft, flott und sehr nett. Zur Begrüßung wurde eine leckere Olivenpaste mit sehr gutem Brot gereicht. Als Vorspeise entschieden wir uns für Fava (sehr fein abgeschreckt) und als Hauptgericht für die Lammkoteletts (sehr schön rosa gegrillt, Beilage konnte auf Wunsch geändert werden). Es gibt eine große Weinkarte, aber wir entschieden uns für den weiße Hauswein, welcher wirklich gut war.
Auf den ersten Blick erscheinen die Preise vielleicht etwas teuerer, aber man merkt das hier viel Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend! Vielen Dank :)

Supreme food from the chefs.
Delicious wine what more can one ask for oh yes a wonderful atmosphere. The Best in crete by some distance. Thank you Ira and tonia you are Great.

L'ambiance était cocooning, plutôt calme.
Les serveurs étaient tous très accueillants et souriants, notamment la serveuse Tonia (désolé pour l'écriture!) qui avait un sourire jusqu'aux oreilles =)

The lamb was perfect. All the salads delicios and the lemon pie was out of this world. Sonia served us perfectly. This is a top choice restaurant for greek food. They had a nice selection of wines. Must visit when in Chania.

Πολύ ωραίο μαγαζί με ιδιαίτερη διακόσμηση καταπληκτικο φαγητό πολύ καλές τιμές, ευγενικό και χαμογελαστο προσωπικό. Ένας χώρος που απολαμβάνεις τα πάντα και νιώθεις πως έχεις μεταφερθεί σε άλλη εποχή!

Lovely ambiance, open courtyard, staff friendly , food was very average though. Online reviews were really good so I expected more. Mousaka was cold, snails didn’t have much taste, feta bake was nice. Could have been much better.

Comimos bien pero tuvieron un detalle bastante feo que fue el servirnos todos los platos al mismo tiempo, cuando no era en absoluto necesario.
Seré justo diciendo que el sitio era muy bonito y acogedor para ir en pareja.

Really beautiful restaurant in a romantic hidden court yard - you can't find a more lovely setting to eat in chania. The staff were fantastic but the food was slightly disappointing. Nice starters but both mains lacked flavour.

Ce lieu est magique et la cuisine authentique et délicieuse . Je classe ce resto parmi les immanquables à Hania.

I will not forget it so early, a beef dishes peppers, rub oil and celebrated, a true delight. There I would have loved to return a second evening. And what about the setting? A delight! The icing on the cake, a very pleasant welcome. You will not be disappointed.
