Mavros Molos, the central and organized beach of Kissamos, with shallow, sandy waters, and the fashionable beach of Kastelli, Telonio, of pebbles, offer transparent waters, guaranteed by the Blue Flag. The beach of Telonio, crowded in high season, is however devoid of sun loungers and umbrellas. Livadia beach, a very wide sandy beach with access by a dirt road, is, nevertheless, a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters. Otherwise, close to the city, the sumptuous beaches of Balos and Falassarna are a must.
